Half-Day Tour
Begin your visit with a tour of the world-renowned Museum at the George Bush Presidential Library. Walk through decades of presidential and national history on this self-guided tour which will take approximately 1-2 hours.
Take a leisurely drive to Texas' most award-winning winery, Messina Hof Winery & Resort. Here your group will enjoy a tour and wine tasting that will last about an hour.
Finish your excursion by shopping, touring and dining in Historic Downtown Bryan. The recently restored area offers a wide variety of antique shops, historic homes and buildings and delicious restaurants for every taste. Be sure to visit the oldest existing Carnegie Library in Texas.
Full Day Tour
Begin your journey, with a stroll through the Texas A&M University Horticulture Gardens. This path is approximately one-eighth of a mile, with educational information throughout, focusing on gardening tips and techniques. In the months of March and April the color displays are outstanding.
Make your next stop the Appelt Visitor Center located in Rudder Tower on the Texas A&M campus. The Visitor Center provides an hour long tour where your group will learn about the history and traditions of Texas A&M University.
While on campus, visit the Sam Houston Sanders corps of Cadet Center, MSC Forsyth Center Galleries, J. Wayne Stark University Center Galleries and the TAMU Lettermen's Association Athletic Sports Museum. All of these attractions are within walking distance of the Appelt Visitor Center and each can be enjoyed within 30 minutes with no admission fee.
Take a break for lunch at one of the local restaurants located in the Northgate Entertainment District, right across the street from campus.
Continue your day by visiting one of the most popular destinations, The Museum at the George Bush Presidential Library. Here your group can explore, touch and watch history come to life on the self guided tour. Make a stop in their outstanding gift shop and take a piece of presidential history home with you.
Discover the beauty of a central Texas vineyard at Messina Hof Winery & Resort. Take a tour of the winery, taste the award winning wines and purchase a bottle for friends and family back home. For a real treat, plan a lunch or dinner of vineyard cuisine at the Vintage House Restaurant.
Step back in time as you wander the streets of Historic Downtown Bryan. The newly refurbished area offers a wide variety of antique shopping, unique gift shops, as well as the LaSalle Hotel and the Carnegie Center of the Brazos Valley. All this and more within walking distance!
If the season is right, take a hayride through Santa's Wonderland exhibit with over 2 million lights. Shop in the Christmas Marketplace for arts and crafts. Be sure to see Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus in person.
