The Milton Parker Home built in 1885, is the second oldest home in Bryan, Texas. It is registered in the National Register of Historic Places. The home located on four acres is five blocks from downtown Bryan, Texas. The house has over 5,000 square feet with seven fireplaces and two wrap-around porches.
It was restored by the current owners, John Zeig and Dr. Van Walker. There are five bedrooms available for guests, three of which have private baths. The Parker family owned the home until 1992 and upon the death of Kate Parker Bernath it was donated to Texas A&M University who sold to a fraternity. The fraternity sold the home tothe current owners in 1999. The Milton Parker Home has been featured on the "Woman's Club Home Tour" and has hosted the Bryan Heritage League"High Tea". The style of the home is Victorian Eastlake replicating the designs of Charles Eastlake of England who's basic style was known as "SIMPLE ELEGANCE". Many of the fireplace mantels are of Eastlake design along with much of the antique furniture which you will see through out the home.
The house is available for B&B guests, weddings, anniversary parties, social events, retreats, business meetings and dinner parties. Each event will be catered to your needs.
