The Republic was founded in May 2007 by Wade Barkman, and offers steak, wine and whiskey, with a focus on the use of fine, locally grown foods and simple Texas cooking in an elegant setting. The restaurant (designed by Barkman and Rob Crowley) features leather seating, hardwood floors, glass mosaics and breathtaking works by local artists. The 5000-square foot space has a posh and comfortable lounge/bar and elegant dining room. (private room available)
