Eastgate Park consists of four separate parcels of land. Two are at the corner of Foster Street and Walton Drive. The other two are open-landscaped islands at Walton Drive and Texas Avenue. MORE

The Park is approximately 60% wooded with a tributary of Lick Creek traversing west to east. The land is fairly flat except the area near the creek. Development of this park include a playground, swing set, basketball court, drinking fountains, bridges, jogging trail, benches, picnic shelter, boardwalk and tree plantings. A Park dedication ceremony was held in April 2009. MORE

Most of this park land is a floodwater retention area, but it is used as practice soccer fields and an open play area. Site improvements that were done in 1998 include grading, seeding, planting of trees, and installation of an irrigation system. Other site improvements include a playground, shelter with picnic tables, half basketball court and walkways. MORE

Emerald Forest is one of the most beautiful native plant sites in the City of College Station park system. The 4-1/2 acre site is heavily wooded and bordered on the north side by Bee Creek. The park has a playground, a lighted half basketball court, picnic tables, 1/3 mile jogging trail, and some area lighting. The design of the park was guided with the intent of preserving the native vegetation with minimal disturbance to the site. MORE

Designed for all skill levels, this competition-quality skate park on Rock Prairie Road consists of a large pro-style flow bowl, a pool bowl with tile and pool coping, and a long linear street course with hundreds of feet of unique terrain and scalable elements. Other features include water fountains, benches and a shaded patio area for spectators. The facility is mostly made of concrete, which is permanent and virtually maintenance-free. MORE

As a neighborhood park, Gabbard Park has proven to be one of the most popular parks in town. Purchased as a result of interest by neighborhood residents, Gabbard received substantial public input during the planning stages. MORE

This park's recreational features include a lighted basketball court, practice softball fields with backstops, picnic units, shelter, playground, open play areas, and nature trails. Fitch Park is dedicated to Georgie K. Fitch in honor of her total dedication to her family as a wife and mother. MORE
